Overexposed

While taking photos with a class that was being given I took some photos that were mistakes, but I absolutely love them.

I was shooting with all manual settings and experimenting with the different lighting coming through the branches behind a model in a tree.  Yes, there was a sweet young girl perched up in a tree for my experiments.

Two munchkins ran up and stated they were dying of thirst.  This is understandable as it was probably 92 in the shade.  Since Mom was busy I took them to get some water.  On our way back to the others, I simply had to take a couple photos of them.  My mistake was that my settings were for taking pictures of someone in a shaded tree, not outside in the bright sunlight.  I took only a couple pictures before changing my settings to what they should have been.  Later when going through what I had done, I really liked my mistakes, and if done carefully, I may do again.  The look is unique and I liked it.
So play with your settings.... you may be surprised!
